[K12OSN] K12LTSP Expansion Report

Well I retired 21 Win 98 machines and now in addition to the LAB three
classrooms are K12LTSP. Everyone is lovin it :-)

The weak link in our expansion is the Windows 2003 Terminal server. I
had hoped it (Dell PowerEdge 2500 with dual PIII 933's, 3.5 gig ram)
would have scaled better. 35 concurrent users running StarReader is
about the limit if we launch the app without running the windows
desktop. Both CPUs at 100%

I had some issues upgrading and/or installing k12ltsp-4.2 on all three
or our servers. Something to do with Masquerading and "Rusty's Brain
being Broke" I was short of time so I went back to 4.1 which is just
fine. I've never had any issues with 4.2 right through all the betas on
my two test servers at home. I'm thinking a kernel / hardware issue or
maybe something to do with SEL.
