I always setup separate names for imap, pop, smtp, even though they may
currently all resolve to the same IP address. This makes it real easy
to move services around, and all you need to do is update dns. No
changes would be needed on the pcs.

For instance:

    bigdog.ltsp.org. IN A 192.168.0.254

    smtp.ltsp.org. IN CNAME bigdog.ltsp.org.
    pop.ltsp.org. IN CNAME bigdog.ltsp.org.
    imap.ltsp.org. IN CNAME bigdog.ltsp.org.

    ltsp.org. IN MX 5 bigdog.ltsp.org.

Hope that helps.
