I'll give one quick shot of advice.  CHOOSE YOUR IP CAREFULLY!  For some
reason OSX server doesn't seem to play nice with IP changes (or at least
it didn't use to, but maybe it has finally been fixed).  It used to be
that if you changed the IP your setup was hosed.
