Has anyone working on the OpenLDAP / Samba scripts taken a look at the Fedora Directory Server?

I wonder if the integration w/ fedora will be any better... i.e. will it do the authentication out of the box for email, ftp, ssh, etc... Instead of having to configure each service individually.  It would be nice if it could be the replacement for the "passwd", "groups" and "shadow" files.
