I am probably the one confusing things.  I guess I wasn't quite grasping
the concept that when booting the different architecture clients you
would be running things as local apps.  I figured it would just be a
remote X session like in the past.

Still sounds a little tricky to me but thanks for considering different
archs as a priority and must have.  It will really make a difference to
support ppc platforms in the area I am at.  If it weren't for this
support I wouldn't be very successful in deployment in our area.
