It is the standard setup but this time i inactivated the firewall ( i have freesco )
and selinux. I have two network cards one 3com 905 TX and one realtec clone 8139D.
I am using the 192.168.0.254/ 255.255.255.0 adress for the client and DHCP fo the other one.
This time i get as far as

Building the /tmp/XF86Config-4 file
Release date 18 december 2003
X-protocol Version 11 revision 0 release 6.7
Build Operating System linux (non) 2.4.25-ltsp-2 #1 sat Nov 13 00:28:51 UTC 2004 i 486
         Before reporting problems, check http://wikwi.X.org
to make sure that you have the latest version.
Module loader present
Markers: (--) probed, (**) from config file, (==) default setting,
( this goes on to the lie saying )
(++) using config file "/tmp/ XF86Config.1"(

(and the client has hung)
this is as far i have gotten.
the client is a AMD 486 120Mhz with 130 Mb RAM and a realtec network card
and a Matrox Mystique grahpics card.
I have tried a lot of different X-servers besides the Auto setting but nothing works !
I am clueless apart from the fact that the client hangs when trying to build the X-config
or some actions close to that.

Regards Kjell
