[K12OSN] K12ltsp V 4.1.1 & new(er) kernels problem

HI,

I'm not sure how or  why but the newer releases of the kernel are 
causing my system to "crash" - "kernel panic system stopped you may 
reboot now"

Specs
Computer IBM Intellistation M PRo
Dual P-III 550Mhz
1 GB memory
80 GB IDE & 9 GB SCSI
32 x CDROM
10/100 NIC, Video onboard

These are the kernels on the system; and only from Fedora Core 
(2.6.9-1.11_FC2smp) or before work, (those bolded) all the others give 
exactly the same error. It doesn't matter whether I use SMP or single 
same problem.
