Thanks, Richard but I did follow the instruction about the -f that apt
gave me and that's when I got this list of errors (below) that I
reported in my first post. It's this that worries me:

1:raidtools ###########################################
[ 17%]
error: unpacking of archive failed on file /sbin/mkraid: cpio:
lsetfilecon failed - Invalid argument
   2:gnome-volume-manager ###########################################
[ 33%]
   3:openoffice.org-i18n ###########################################
[ 50%]
   4:openoffice.org ###########################################
[ 67%]

MIME type 'scd,scd.gz,sla,sla.gz' that contains invalid characters
File '/usr/share/applications/fedora-scribus.desktop' contains invalid
MIME type 'scd,scd.gz,sla,sla.gz' that contains invalid characters
   5:openoffice.org-libs ###########################################
[ 83%]
   6:gamin-devel ###########################################
[100%]

Is there problem with that output and can I take action to correct the
upgrade? Any hints or reassurances welcome :-)
