Thanks for the pointer, Dennis.  I remember the threads on this list
about icewm resource problems, but never saw previous mention of the
'prelink' app that was causing me trouble.  I'll institute the change
suggested in the link(s) to see if it helps - though the daily cron of
'prelink' has run it's course now and I guess I'll have to wait until
tomorrow to see if it comes back after my change.  Yes, yes, I should
look at my list of cron jobs, I suppose, and comment that one out to
make sure it's gone for good :-)  

I'll also re-read all the icewm threads in the archive (I've them
archived locally, anyway) ...  and I need to read up on editing icewm
config files since I wasn't bothered about doing that until now ;-)
