Eric,

I'm thinking that LTSP has grown enough that we should be able to work
with the other projects, to help them understand how important it is to
have network transparent sound.

I figure we'll get some chance to work with the Ubuntu guys on this, and
then at the end of May I'll be at Guadec (Gnome User and Developer
European Conference) in Stuttgart. That will give me a chance to talk
with the Gnome guys.

I've heard that nasd is a dead project, and esound is being replaced by
gstreamer. I've also heard that KDE is adopting gstreamer.

Then there's MAS. The MAS guys are VERY willing to work with us, but I
don't know of anybody actually using MAS yet.

It seems to me that if Gnome and KDE are moving towards gstreamer, then
we need to also.

I guess short-term, we should get esd and nasd working better, but
long-term we'll head for gstreamer.
