My client is an AMD-K6 (like a pentium 2, I believe),
233 MHz, with something like 131 MB of ram. My
ethernet card uses the eepro100 ROM. The video card
is a Diamond DM975.

The BIOS is: Award Modular BIOS v4.51 PG, Copyright
1984-1998
When I enter the BIOS screen, across the top it says:
ROM PCI/ISA BIOS (2A5LDSNA)

As far as I know I'm using the standard BIOS settings,
except that I set "PNP OS Installed: No"

Some other BIOS settings pertaining to the video are:

Assign IRQ for VGA: Enabled

Video Bios Shadow: Enabled
(and then all the options under that are set to
"Disabled")

Video BIOS Cacheable: Disabled

Regarding my issues with XDMCP and ltspadmin:

When I choose "configure LTSP", it checks a bunch of
stuff and I see:
Checking xdmcp...........Found: xdm, gdm Using:
none!

Then when I choose to manually configure Xdmcp, I get:
The Xdmcp service is already enabled and running!

My system works fine (I am using GDM). On bootup, the
client gives some errors, though:

various I/O errors on the hard drive that I have
installed (but don't use now that LTSP is working).
It says "unable to read partition table", although
this hard drive works fine.

and I also get: syslogd_ cannot write to remote
handle on 192.168.2.254:514
192.168.2.254 is my ltsp server, but I don't know what
the :514 is.

I hope some of this helps.

-Rob
