Huh.  I read that article and missed the words "open source."  Kinda
strange that they don't make a bigger deal about it.  It's MASSIVE
news if they pull it off.  Also strange that I can find virtually
nothing else about it on the web.  Mike Huffman is giving a talk
entitled "Open Source 1:1 Initiative" in November at a state
conference.  Here's a random mailing list post mentioning the hardware
they're looking at:
