[K12OSN] Good AMD 64 bit system recomendations?

Yes we love our dual opteron board too. The 2882 we have has the sil
sata chipset and drives are recognized seperately.  I don't mind
because I'm told that onboard raid always utilizes the cpu anyway. 
Apparently you'll only get the full speed benefit from something like
a 3ware card.
