As mentioned, there are several place you can make everything match up.
If you have QSECOFR access, you can also change the IP and route on the
AS/400.  CFGTCP will get you into TCP/IP configuration. The options for
interfaces (where you can set the IP), routes and host table are all
there. Even though in many ways the AS/400 is an antique, it can have
multiple IP's, routes, and interfaces.

I used IBM's Client Access/5250 package a few years ago, and I did not
care for it. Mochasoft's TN5250 package works well, and is free:
