Indeed.

And, if you're not using KDE and Kicker, and if for some reason Gnome 2
doens't do this (it sounds like it should...) or you're not running KDE or
Gnome, you may be able to use Xalf, which was the solution that was around
before KDE and Gnome had the launch feedback built-in.
