[K12OSN] dhcp not authoritative question

I've used DHCP on an alternate port in the past.  It
works, and it serves the purpose you need:  to not
interfere with the existing DHCP server.  Using
rom-o-matic you can make a boot floppy that looks for
DHCP on the alternate port.
