I used a PII with Smoothwall (http://www.smoothwall.org/) as a firewall
and put DansGuardian on that.  It took more than 10 minutes but was
fairly painless.  It's still working great a couple years later.

There is a setting in Smoothwall, which is administered through an https
web page, to set it as a tranparent proxy.  With that setting, no proxy
setting need be made on client machines.  Couldn't be easier.
