Thanks, Calvin.  I have definitely given the Java upgrade some 
consideration.  This school was upgraded from 4.2.  Thing is, I 
know(sic) that the problem exists on a clean install of 4.4.1, too, but 
our instance of it has since been downgraded and I can't provide metrics.
