We have seen two bugs in OpenOffice, one where if a student trys to save a 
file to a disk where he does not have write access the file ends up corrupted 
and one where if they create a new file in impress using the wizard the file 
ends up with a password (blank) even when not intended. You might want to 
pursue those two possiblities.
