[K12OSN] Saving Monitor Power

Hi,

Does anyone know how to get k12ltsp to shut the monitor down after a 
period of inactiviy?  My monitors go dim, but the power light stays 
green and they are hot to the touch, I'd like them to really sleep, so 
they aren't consuming as much power and generating as much heat.  I 
tried adding:

        X_DPMS = Y
        X_DPMS_STANDBYTIME = 5
        X_DPMS_OFFTIME = 30
        X_DPMS_SUSPENDTIME = 15

to ltsp.conf, but it had no effect.  I'm using a version of k12ltsp 
that's a couple generations old.  The FC2 based one.
