[K12OSN] user accounts not working

Some of my users are not able to logon.  I haven't figgured out why.  They
enter their login name, then their password.  The computer starts to load
the DM (I think that's where it is in the process), then the screen goes
blank for a minute or so, then the login screen comes back up.  No error
messages.  I know I should be able to tail this, but I don't know how.
