Hi-jack an existing cat5 connection...
plug it into eth1...
plug eth0 into your switch..
plug thin clients into your switch...

don't use the word "server" =)
tell them it has the latest mcafee and netware clients installed
(none...I don't believe there is any for k12ltsp =)

odds are they use dhcp so it'll hand an IP to your LTSP machine and 
you're golden from there.
