[K12OSN] lp_server not running

Is there a way to see what processes a client is running after it's all booted up? 
Opening a terminal and running 'ps -ef' will tell you what's happening on the server. 
But I was looking for a way for Pat to verify that lp_server is indeed running on the 
client.
