cam you slapcat > /tmp/whatever...look that over if you can..you can
slapadd -l that file back to ldap if you throw out the contents
of/var/lib/ldap (in redhat)..hyou will have to chown after slapadd so the
files are owned by the rigt dude..pop by #ltsp if you are still hung..chuck
