But if they are using windows at home (which is what they are all  
assuming) then the virus won't run on the linux systems at school.  
Linux doesn't have viruses in the wild like windows, a couple worms  
maybe, but those aren't something spread by users, they are caused by  
having services running that have security holes primarily. Even if  
someone wrote a linux virus, it would be hard to do any damage   
outside of their own space since the students and staff don't run  
with administrator (root) privileges.
