Wait a minute.  I need to get this absolutely straight.  Are you saying 
they told you you don't need Windows clients for the Web-based version 
of Accelerated Reader?

They've always told me the clients HAVE to be Windows 98 or better, and 
HAVE to have .Net installed.  I'm still upset about being forced to buy 
Windows 2003 Server boxes for Renaissance Place - this just adds insult 
to injury!
