Hi guys,

This topic seems to have generated a fair amount of interest. First
off, I need to clarify that I do have a Windows 2000 Server that will
host the Renaissance Place database. My understanding is that this is a
requirement because the database is hosted on MSSQL or MSDE database.
The other requirement appears to be IIS. Now, my question/issue is
this: Does it matter what the client OS actually is? I'm speculating
that it does not matter, because according to RP website, Firefox is a
supported browser. In browsing their sample questions on their website
(using LTSP/Firefox) it appears they are using the Flash plugin to serve
the questions. I'm further assuming that since this is how they are
serving their sample questions, this would also be how the questions are
served once they are running on the local network. However, in talking
to RP tech support yesterday, they cannot confirm that they know of
anyone running Linux desktops and using RP successfully. So my question
to all of you is: Are any of you using Linux desktops and successfully
using the web-based version of RP?

Thanks,

Brad Johnson
