I apologize for not watching K12LTSP development recently, so I have no
idea if this will affect the folks here or not. Just in case here is a
head's up.

squidGuard has just been approved in Fedora Extras, which means it will
very soon go into the repository. This is good to centrally maintain
packages in one place. However it is very possible that this squidGuard
differs from the squidGuard package used for years at K12LTSP in such a
way that existing servers in a yum upgrade will be broken.

squidGuard source RPM contents

Anonymous checkout instructions
After logging in use "cvs co squidGuard" then "make srpm" to pull the
Extras .src.rpm

Please verify that the K12LTSP squidGuard will not break during upgrade
from the K12LTSP package to this Extras package. I suspect that the
automatic nightly blacklist update scripts and the blacklists themselves
may be different.

I would do it myself, except I am trying to encourage certain folks here
to become more active in the Extras project where we together do a
better job of centrally maintaining packages.
