I'm the "documentation guy for the smbldap-installer"....see the docs in
the script and this site http://www.vcsvikings.org/linux/smbldap The
alpha script works fine (many of us are using it in production
servers)....we just haven't changed the name *sheepish grin* It's Open
Source so feel free to snag it and make it better. One thing we're
looking to do on the script is make it all work with Ubunut...which
shouldn't be a big issue, but we need someone to write a Debian version of
"authconfig" for non-Redhat platforms like Debian...etc. Brian Chivers
has a how-to coming out in a few days on how to create a slave-master ldap
setup....it looks pretty easy and slick....it'd be cool to script that and
have a "slave" version of the smbldap-installer to set up the slave
machine. I've cc'd this message to Matt, but by all means...feel free to
jump in :-)
