[K12OSN] What would you use to build a school web site?

Probably not what you want to hear, but aside from the
main school website, I would recommend that kids are
taught HTML with a text editor. They might not be
given access to change the whole site, but it is
generally a good idea to have sections that are
created by the students and for the students. ;) Of
course the content needs to be monitored, but that is
a different story.

Also, as something else a bit off topic, we are also
running OpenAdmin (richtech.ca/openadmin) for a
Student Information System. It keeps track of student
demographics, marks, report cards, and even has a
grade book. What does this have to do with a school
website? It is entirely web-based so not only teachers
and admin can use it, but also students and parents
can check marks online.
