[K12OSN] WIndows and k12ltsp

I looked through the archives and not sure of the answer. I have this as 
a setup;
internet---firewall--network --- smbldap domain 
controller---K12LTSP---Thin clients and some windows machines.
Is it possible to get the windows machines to log into the smbldap 
domain controller?
The K12LTSP has the home directory NFS'd to the smbldap. The windows 
machines behind the Terminal server can get out to the internet, but not 
login to the domain controller. Some are xp, most are win98.
