[K12OSN] Kubuntu LTSP 4.2 XDMCP Problems

I had the same problem on kubuntu some time ago when testing, and  
once I upgraded KDE to 3.51 all the problems went away.  Prior to  
that upgrade, I horsed around an entire day trying to make magic.
