I had checked to make sure NFS was running with ltspcfg at
the command line and using Service Configuration in the
gui and BOTH indicated that NFS was enabled and running.
 However...

It wasn't until showmount -e revealed that NFS was NOT
running that I was able to make some progress. I started
NFS at the command line with /etc/init.d/nfs start and
attempted to boot the client.

This time I got a TFTP timeout error. I made the changes
recommended at
http://wiki.ltsp.org/twiki/bin/view/Ltsp/NFS and still got
the same error.

I then disabled the firewall completely and attempted to
boot. This time... SUCCESS!

I have much more to learn, but THANKS for those that
replied with some help!

-Kevin
