I am trying to install Centre, and I'm a bit horrified by the lack of
support and documentation.  I uploaded the files to the directory and I get
a php error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: preferences() in
/home/stmar4/public_html/gradebook/Warehouse.php on line 224

The website is www.stmaryswestville.com/gradebook

The "Install" file is a txt file that is a mess.  One of the first things it
says is:  

"These installation instructions are incomplete.  please refer to
installation
of earlier versions and extrapolate where obvious.  If you encounter
difficulty
please try the Centre Forums at www.miller-group.net for help and feel free
to
contribute your experiences to this document."

There is almost nothing on the forums.  

Can anyone here share their experiences?  Can anyone point me in the right
direction?
