Thanks Eric and James.  I managed to follow Fedora's directions to the point
where I completely broke rpm :-(  But now I know at least that this is not a
viable option for the future.  I was just trying to plan ahead for when I am
managing 30 or 40 servers at many locations and an easy way to upgrade them
all from a single location.  I guess I'll just stick to driving, I am sure the
point where I have more than a handful to manage is still in a distant future.

For any others trying this, don't be fooled, the instructions don't work.  It
starts with conflicting packages, that turns into dependancy problems, and in
my case broken stuff trying to fix it.
