If the computer is saying there is a problem with UNC paths, likely that
has n othing to do woth the server.
But, make sure your path for the netlogon directory is correct and that
there is actually logon.bat in there and make sure your smb.conf says
logon.bat is the logon script to be run.
my example:
Server location for login script for group "Users"
/samba/netlogon/users
logon script in the above listed directory:
logon.bat
in the smb.conf file under "global" make sure there is a line:
logon script = logon.bat
Make sure there is a [netlogon] directive.
make sure the path in it is correct for the netlogon directory.
Make sure the directory is readable by all users.
Restart samba
If you need further assistance, send me a copy of your smb.conf file and I
will look at it and see if I can find anything wrong with it.
