[K12OSN] adding Scsi drives to desktop

I have an desktop that I am using as my server. It has AMD 2500XP on
MSI KT6 Delta Motherboard. Can I put a pci scsi card on this computer
and run u320 scsi hard drives with it? Would this boost performance?
I have seen an HP 64 Bit/133 MHZ PCI-x dual Channel ultra 320 Internal
SCSI Card at an auction and wondered if it would be worth getting.
