NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Don't use tables instead. Don't bend to the will of IE. For this you must use the box model hack You can read about it at the address below. You fool IE into accepting the correct CSS.

The probable cause is this: all placement is done via <div> tags and CSS,
and IE6 could be goofing it up.  Is there any chance they can use tables
instead? (or in addition - so the divs could still have style info, but
not placement)
