I was trying to come up with a way to make OSX profiles work like windows in
the fact that they just synchronized when connecting/disconnecting from the
network and allowing the user to run localy when offsite. But I was never
albe to get a workable solution. As of now you would need to make your domain
available externally or just mirror an local accounts on that machine. I was
going to just set up all local OSX machines to auth to LDAP and set laptops up
with the one user that will be carrying it around, but that still didn't
provide access to files offsite, so I was then going to setup a logon/logoff
script that checked availability of the server and rsynced files but never go
there.
