[K12OSN] VNC and LTSP terminal client problem

Casey,
If nothing else, you should probably verify that your K12LTSP server's firewall is configured to allow incoming connections on port 5900. This wouldn't affect whether your thin clients boot, but does affect whether you can connect from the main network via any VNC variant.
I installed FreeNX a while ago mainly because I was having a lot of trouble connecting to our school's server with UltraVNC, another VNC variant, over the Internet. I don't think I ever had the kind of problem you're describing, though.

Hi David!
Thanks for the reply. After setting up the K12LTSP server I tried connecting from my M$ box with realvnc via the ip address that the server is getting its internet connection. After that none of the clients would boot. Very odd. I will try FreeNX. Sounds awesome!
Anyone else know why the clients would stop booting and just hang?
Thanks!
Casey
