Ha!  So you couldn't have picked an easy one to start us off, like
Open Office, or Gimp?  :)

I've never used Centre.  They do have a resource page of people you
can contact to help you.   I would imagine that for a student
information system is not going to be the easiest place to start with
Open Source flying solo, but I would also imagine that the benefits of
Open Source would be really tangible in this circumstance.  This may
be a good example of "free software, paid support."

I'll cross-post this to the K12OSN list as well and see if we can't
get any feedback for you.
