[K12OSN] Anyone provide ftp access to students?

I'm interested in this as well as we are about to at least give local
access the same way to files.

btw, Robert, I set up a launcher with the command
konqueror sftp://192.168.address.offileserver

and pushed it to the desktops. this gives them an easy interface where
they just have to enter their username and password to log in.
we use generic logins in the classrooms or it'd drive everyone nuts
logging off and on - we are in a k-5 environment.

this is a lot easier than using the nautilus "connect to server"
because it correctly prompts for a secure log in vs. anonymous ie
avoiding the pull down menu. That wouldn't be hard to do with older
kids but I don't want to have to explain that to a 9 yr old.

regards,
William
