[K12OSN] Wireless presenter on a thin client

Has anyone got one to work?
Here is our scenario. Teachers have thin clients
on their desks, to which is connected a projector
via a VGA splitter. This all works fine; they
can show via the projector, what is on their
screens.

One of the teachers wants to be able to walk
around and control this mouse, to show the boys
what to click on. Our clients have PS/2 mice and
USB ports and we noticed that if you plug a USB
mouse in, it works fine - having two mice on a
client is great fun :-)

Next we tried a wireless mouse (normal PC type)
with a USB receiver and this too worked fine,
except the range was very limited. Finally we
purchased one of these www.targus.com/uk/
product_details.asp?sku=AMP02EU and plugged it
in. The mouse pointed can be moved vertically
but not horizontally. On a stand alone linux box
it works perfectly. Is this a client problem, or
a problem with the device? We were expecting it
just to work, especially as USB mice do.

Help!
