[K12OSN] can't log in with username

[Krsnendu dasa]

Out of the blue I can't log in using my regular user name. Every other user
can log in.
I get the message

bash: /home/krsnendu/.bashrc: Permission denied
I have check the permissions for /home/krsnendu and .bashrc they both seem
the same as every other user.

I am not sure what I have done. How do I fix this?
I get the feeling that the file is locked somehow but I dont know what to do
about it.
