[K12OSN] Do anyone here REALLY understand LTSP and remote sound?

Set SCREEN_01 = shell in your lts.conf.  This will bring your terminal to a command 
prompt rather than loading X and the GUI stuff.  Thus, you should be able to see the 
error messages related to sound.
