[K12OSN] Slow performance

There was some discussion of this problem with firefox a few weeks ago.  I think one 
observation was that FF was checking for updates every time it started, which caused 
delays and probably isn't what you want on a server.  Check into turning that off (not 
sure where that's located) and see if it helps.
