No! At least, don't do this without backing up your database carefully
first.

Once you've done that, then yes, a fresh install (copy your old
.answers file into the new smbldap-installer directory if possible)
with a slapadd of your old database should get you back up and
running.

As Dave indicates below, this bug happened when the smbldap-installer
was still installing an old smbldap-tools RPM at the same time that
Fedora5 started including its own smbldap-tools build in yum. The
paths are different, so doing a yum upgrade after running the
smbldap-installer changes the paths and therefore causes problems.
