Whenever I log in to my IMAP server using an email client, I receive the
following message in /var/log/messages:
Sep 20 09:51:44 ltsp dovecot-auth: pam_ldap: could not open secret file
/etc/ldap.secret (No such file or directory)
The login succeeds.
A few seconds later, I get this string of messages:
Sep 20 09:52:20 ltsp dovecot-auth: nss_ldap: failed to bind to LDAP
server ldap://127.0.0.1: Server is unwilling to perform
Sep 20 09:52:20 ltsp dovecot-auth: nss_ldap: could not search LDAP
server - Server is unavailable
Sep 20 09:52:20 ltsp dovecot-auth: pam_ldap: could not open secret file
/etc/ldap.secret (No such file or directory)
Sep 20 09:52:20 ltsp dovecot-auth: nss_ldap: failed to bind to LDAP
server ldap://127.0.0.1: Server is unwilling to perform
Sep 20 09:52:20 ltsp dovecot-auth: nss_ldap: failed to bind to LDAP
server ldap://127.0.0.1: Server is unwilling to perform
Sep 20 09:52:20 ltsp dovecot-auth: nss_ldap: reconnecting to LDAP server
(sleeping 4 seconds)...
I can't find any references to /etc/ldap.secret in the configuration
files.. why is it trying to look for the bindpw here? Or, more
importantly, why is this happening? (;
Thanks,
Michael
