This should say  Connection established
check to see that Xvnc is available

on a client try
$ vncviewer localhost

Also you didn't by any chance restrict vnc sessions in /etc/hosts.deny or
/etc/hosts.allow ?
Also check that eth0 is set as a trusted device in
system-config-securitylevel
