OTOH, if one is using speakers, having the jacks in the back is preferable because then 
the wires can be out of sight, the kids don't unplug the speakers, etc.  Perhaps you 
could get an extension cord for the sound jack and leave the female end sitting out 
front, or clamp it out front somewhere.
